Face Lift Dentistry ®
Al's face is permanently lengthened
In the early years of smile makeovers, the patient accepted almost any cosmetic improvement. But, today the patients have become much more sophisticated and particular about how their smile makeover should look. Patients are choosing the shade and the shapes of the teeth and sometimes request a particular smile design. A smile makeover is the single greatest personal investment possible for most patients because it can do much more than change the appearance of your teeth; a smile makeover can change your life. A smile makeover can make us look younger, healthier and more professional. We appear more presentable when our teeth are straight and healthy looking. The benefits of a smile makeover are experienced 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. No car, house nor any amount of jewelry has the incredible benefits of a high quality smile makeover.
The impact of a smile makeover greatly depends on artistic and technical skill of the dentist. The choice of cosmetic dentists will make or break the quality of the results. We continue to see an increasing number of patients from Los Angeles, Los Angeles and Santa Monica areas that are unhappy with their cosmetic dentistry results. Traditional cosmetic dentists fall short of delivering the results that are available with Face Lift Dentistry ®. This treatment was developed and trademarked by Dr. Sam Muslin DDS MAGD and is the ultimate level of dental health care possible.
Crooked teeth
Crooked or tipped teeth are frequently straightened with braces, but braces or orthodontic treatment can take years to complete. Invisalign ® is the current substitute for braces, but again, it takes years and also requires a great deal of effort by the patients (e.g.: diligence in wearing the removable appliance and lifetime use of retainers). We continue to see patients who have gone through orthodontic treatment and still don't like the shape or color of their teeth and having to constantly wear retainers. Instant braces (or non-invasive porcelain veneers) are an alternative to treat crooked teeth and have the advantage of improving the shapes and the color of the teeth. The best part about the porcelain veneer or porcelain crown cosmetic dentistry option is that retainers are not required and the treatment takes only days or weeks to complete. The color of the teeth can be improved and the shapes of the teeth can be idealized.
Chipped Teeth Fixed with Dental Bonding
Broken or chipped teeth can be treated with composite bonding, porcelain veneers or porcelain crowns -- but which one is the best for you? Each procedure has its advantages and drawbacks that must be considered on an individual basis. Dental bonding is relatively inexpensive and is quickly completed in one visit. Dental bonding can be completed without shots, or any grinding to the natural tooth structure. We have had patients with great, natural looking cosmetic bonding that has lasted over 15 years. The best option depends on the patient circumstances and the ability of the cosmetic dentist.

Poorly Spaced Teeth
Gaps between teeth or poorly spaced teeth can be treated with non-invasive porcelain veneers, which last longer than dental bonding. For the best, natural looking results, it is imperative to choose a cosmetic dentist with the ability to balance the shapes and sizes of the teeth to the patient’s individual characteristics. Closing the spaces between teeth can makeover your smile, but this requires a dentist with the artistic ability to achieve a balanced look that matches your complexion and facial features. Gaps between teeth can be closed without drilling the natural tooth structure and the treatment can be completed in less than three weeks. There is little to no grinding on the natural teeth and the new layer of custom crafted porcelain is undetectable from the natural teeth. The new layer of porcelain is integrated to the tooth structure, which means there will be no decay under the porcelain veneer. Porcelain veneers bonded over the top of the existing tooth structure also make the teeth less sensitive to hot and cold temperatures.

Cracked Teeth
Cracked teeth can be painful when biting and should be treated as soon as possible. Sometimes cracked teeth have a sharp pain that goes away quickly when chewing stops. The treatment needs to be started immediately to reduce the depth of the crack. Every time it hurts, the crack gets bigger. Once the crack reaches the nerve, the possibility of loosing the tooth increases. Cracked teeth should be treated as soon as the symptoms appear with a restoration that adds strength to the cracked tooth. Waiting for care only adds more health risks and makes the treatment more expensive.
