If the dental bonding is weak, the porcelain veneers will fall off with minimal pressure. The dental porcelain bonding skill of the cosmetic dentist determines if there will be a high level of success. If the dentist is specialized in custom porcelain veneers, the failure possibility drops dramatically. Patients can have the smile of their dreams and the confidence of knowing that the porcelain veneer is an integrated part of their natural tooth structure and will not fall off. Because a well-bonded veneer provides a protective covering for the natural tooth, there should be little to no decay, porcelain breakage or tooth sensitivity.
Sensitive Teeth & Non-Invasive Porcelain Veneers
Teeth sensitivity can be greatly reduced with non-invasive porcelain veneers because they add an extra layer to the natural tooth structure. Sometimes we have tooth sensitivity because our enamel is thin or porous. Non-invasive dentistry can add a new layer over the top of the existing tooth structure thereby insulating the tooth.
