Alice had missing teeth that needed to be replaced, which further complicated her case. Teeth replacement can be completed with implants, fixed bridges, removable bridges or full dentures. If too many teeth are missing, it is difficult to have a fixed bridge. In such cases, dental implants can be used along with dentures or fixed bridges to provide added stability. Dental implants last for a lifetime, do not decay, are not subject to hot or cold sensitivity and most patients don't know they have the implants once they are placed.
